I felt undermined and left out of decision making and it was only when I started to talk about this that made my spouse realise that that is what had been happening.
Learn to speak to each other as soon as you start to see a problem. It is very easy to avoid confrontation by discussing things early on. It is all too easy to get things out of perspective as well as things can get more exaggerated the longer they are left to simmer.
Give and take is closely associated with all of this.It is all too easy to think that you have reached an impasse but believe me, I soon discovered that storming out and slamming doors did not help save my marriage but making the decision not to argue over the minutia did.
